SITUATION ON BATTLEFIELDS OF ZADAR AND BIOGRAD

ZADAR, Nov 25 (Hina) - Serb terrorists opened artillery fire on the battlefields of Zadar and Biograd until 01:00 Thursday. Kasic, the Zadar hinterland, was hit by a number of mortar shells. Serb terrorists attacked Croatian Army positions and civilian targets on the large part of the battlefield. They fired about 20 cannon shells at Pakostane near Biograd. Policnik, Prkos and Debeljak near Zadar were also hit by shells. Afterwards, Kasic and Paljuv came under cannon and mortar fire. Northern part of the battlefield, Tinj, Islam Grcki, Posedarje, Suhovare, Galovac, Zemunik Donji and Vinterinci were pounded with cannons, said the local Croatian Army command. According to the same source, the fiercest attacks were registered between 16:50 and 18:10 Wednesday when the sections of Biograd were hit by 14 cannon shells. No casualties but extensive damage was reported. The Croatian side vigorously protested with UNPROFOR because of the attacks. Serb terrorists opened anti-aircraft cannon fire on Vucipolje, the Sinj-Drnis area, between 16:00 and 20:00 hours.
