SITUATION ON BATTLEFIELDS IN HERZEG-BOSNIA

MOSTAR, Nov 21 (Hina) - It is rather calm on battlefields in the Croatian Republic of Herzeg-Bosnia on Sunday, reported Defence Ministry of the Croatian Republic of Herzeg-Bosnia in the afternoon. Muslim Army occasionally opened cannon and sniper fire on defence positions in Bobasi, the Vitez area. They also attempted an infantry breakthrough, but the Croatian Defence Council (HVO) formations repelled the attack. Two HVO soldiers were slightly wounded. According to the same source, the situation in Nova Bila hospital deteriorates. Many wounded Croatian civilians and HVO members are in critical condition. The hospital lacks medical machines and due to that one wounded person died two days ago. Hygienic-epidemiological conditions are very poor and child- bearing women and newborn children cannot be provided with all necessary medical care. Physicians of the Nova Bila hospital lodged one more appeal to the international community asking for humanitarian and medical aid and protection for the wounded, said the same source. 211727 MET nov 93
