KARLOVAC, Nov 21 (Hina) - The Albanian delegation, led by
Chairman of the Albanian Parliament Pjeter Arbnori, visited the
town of Karlovac today, together with the Chairman of the
Croatian Parliament, Mr. Stjepan Mesic. The Mayor, Mr. Ivan
Benic, informed the Albanian guests of the damage inflicted on
this town in the aggression against Croatia. He also talked about
the issue of the displaced persons and refugees, who are
temporarily accommodated in this Croatian town. Their talks
revolved around the economic issues as well. The Chairman of the
Albanian parliament, Mr. Arbnori, stressed that the Albanian
public was well informed of the current situation in Croatia, and
of the heroic defence of Croatia and its towns such as Karlovac
against the Serb aggression.
In the end of his visit to Karlovac Mr. Arbnori said among
other things that Croatia and Albania should develop their
relationships by making agreements on the economic and cultural
fields and promoting cooperation between their towns. The
Albanian delegation went to the first defence line near Turanj on
the Karlovac battlefield in order to see how huge damage was
caused by the aggression on this crisis area of Croatia.
