ZADAR, Nov 17 (Hina) - Between 16:30 hours and midnight on Tuesday, Serb
irregular forces fired more than fifty artillery shells on the northern
part of the Zadar war zone as well as on the villages of Paljuv, Novigrad
and Kasic. Pristeg was targeted by anti-aircraft cannon fire, said the
Croatian Army command in Zadar on Wednesday morning.
Shortly before midnight, Croatian defence forces prevented a Serb commando
group from entering the Ravni Kotari area. The Croatian side had no
casualties whereas several Serb commandoes were knocked out of action.
The Zadar area was calm after midnight. The Croatian Army command lodged a
protest with UNPROFOR over the attacks.
In the Sinj area, Serb troops opened anti-aircraft cannon fire on
Vucipolje at 20:00 hours. The Sibenik area was quiet overnight.
