CROATIAN GOVERNMENT TO APPEAL TO NEW YORK COURT OVER SEUSO COLLECTION

ZAGREB, Nov 9 (Hina) - At a session on Tuesday, the Croatian Government decided to appeal against the first-degree ruling of the Supreme Court in New York in a lawsuit over the ancient collection of silver plate called the "Seuso treasure." The New York Court ruled that the collection did not belong to Croatia. President of the Privatization Fund Ivan Penic told the session that until 5 November the Fund had issued permissions for the privatization of 2,171 companies of a total of 2,867 socially-owned companies which had submitted the programme of the transformation of ownership. 092132 MET nov 93
