VITEZ, Nov 6 (HABENA/Hina) - Committees of the Catholic parishes
in central Bosnia on Saturday forwarded an appeal to the Holy
Father Pope John Paul II, the bishop conferences of Germany,
Austria and France, and Cardinal Franjo Kuharic of Croatia in
connection with the grave security and humanitarian situation in
central Bosnia, said Herzeg-Bosnia's news agency HABENA.
The appeal said that of 53 Catholic parishes in central Bosnia,
only 15 left in Moslem encirclement. "Militant fundamentalism
from the newly-founded Islamic centres in Zenica, Sarajevo and
Travnik is reaching Christian Europe," said the appeal and added:
"we are hurt by insensitivity, silence and indifference of
Western Catholic countries for the truth about our suffering in
Bosnia."
