ZAGREB, Nov 2 (Hina) - Omnipotentiary minister in the Croatian
Foreign Ministry Ante Babic submitted today a report on the respect
for human rights in Croatia to the Australian Parliament's Human
Rights Subcommittee Secretary.
The report was sent in an answer to the report submitted to the
Australian Parliament in which Serbs from Australia criticized
Croatia for disrespect of the minorities' rights.
Among other things, the report says:
"Croatia proved that it unreservedly support the values of
democracy, the laws of the state of law, the respect for the
human and minorities' rights by its interior and foreign policy."
Ante Babic also reports on Franjo Tudjman's and Alija
Izetbegovic's initiative that had lead to signing a common
Declaration wich aims at improving the relations between Muslims
and Croats.
"The deportations of Croats in the neighboring countries and
regions raise special concern," Babic said adding the examples of
ethnic cleansing of Croats in B-H and Vojvodina.
