ZAGREB, Dec 14 (Hina) - Industrial output in November rose by 4
percent compared to the same time last year, Deputy Prime Minister
Borislav Skegro said today opening a Government session.
"This means that the 6-percent annual growth of industrial
output is continuing," Skegro said, adding that retail prices fell
by 17.5 percent from last year.
Deputy Prime Minister Jure Radic said that preparations for a
pilot reconstruction project in war-stricken areas would start
Friday.
The project, which includes the reconstruction of damaged
houses in the Sibenik, Zadar, Osijek and Vinkovci areas, is to be
completed by next summer, so that refugees now in hotels can return
to their homes.
The Government passed a Bill on the 1995 Budget and tabled it
for the next parliamentary session.
It also passed several Bills of amendments to tax legislation.
An import quota for 1995 was set at US$ 700 million - to be
spent on raw materials, equipment and spare parts.
