ZAGREB, Sep 6, (Hina)- "Croatia will not change its political
position on refugees from Velika Kladusa - that position was agreed
on with UNPROFOR, international humanitarian organisations, the
Government in Sarajevo, and the European Union," the Croatian
Deputy President and Foreign Affairs Minister, Dr Mate Granic,
today told Croatian radio.
Referring to repeated remarks that Croatia would increase
humanitarian aid for refugees, Dr Granic said:"Croatia believes
that the refugees will return to their homes when they receive
truthful information and not false promises."
Dr Granic said that the refugees from Velika Kladusa, with the
help of self-styled Serbian government in occupied territories, had
settled in houses belonging to Croatians forced out of the area.
This was one of the matters that he and Croatia's Minister for
Internal Affairs, Jarnjak, yesterday discussed with the
representative UN chief secrectary Yasushi Akashi.
