ZAGREB, Aug 4 (Hina) - Sweden is considering moving thousands of
Bosnian refugees, according to delegates from the Swedish Ministry
of Culture.
The delegation was today received by Croatian Deputy Foreign
Minister Ivan Simonovic.
Simonovic was informed that 4,800 Bosnian refugees had entered
Sweden with Croatian passports but used Bosnian passports to apply
for refugee status.
The Swedish Government has asked the Croatian Government not
to move the refugees to Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Deputy Foreign Minister Simonovic said Croatia would accept
the refugees but would need time to prepare adequate accommodation
for them.
He asked the Swedish Government to give Croatia adequate
notice of their arrival and gave assurance that the refugees, all
of whom hold dual Croatian and Bosnian citizenships, would not be
forced to return to Bosnia.
