ZAGREB, July 16 (Hina) - The commander of the North Atlantic Treaty
Organization's (NATO) south section for Europe, the U.S. Admiral
Leighton Smith, and the chief commander of the U.N. Protection
Force (UNPROFOR), General Bertrand De Lapresle, with other UNPROFOR
commanders met today in Zagreb, according to the news broadcast of
Zagreb television on Saturday evening.
According to U.N. spokesman Paul Risley, this was a regular
monthly meeting as part of the close cooperation between NATO and
the U.N.
He said that the NATO and UNPROFOR commanders had discussed
military options in case that any of Bosnia's warring factions
reject a "take it or leave it" peace plan, drawn up by the five-
power "contact group", on Monday, 18 July.
