SINJ, June 16 (Hina) - A joint civil affairs subcommission said at
a meeting at a UN checkpoint in the village of Maljevo on Thursday
that except for minor armed incidents caused by local Serb forces,
the March 29 cease-fire agreement was mainly holding the Sinj area
in UNPA South, said Croatian army officials in Sinj, adding that
joint UNPROFOR and Croatian police patrols began to supervise the
confronation line as of June 14.
Croatian representatives did not get an answer to the question
why Serb negotiators had not attended three meetings of the
subcommission to discuss humanitarian issues, such as the
organization of meetings of war-separated families and the exchange
of letters and parcels.
