NOVIGRAD, June 4 (Hina) - Croatian Deputy Prime Minster, Dr. Ivica
Kostovic, held a meeting today in Novigrad with representatives of
the 1060 refugees from Central Bosnia, who are temporarily
accommodated in the resort centre "Pineta" (in the Slovene
ownership). At today's talks Minister Kostovic told the refugees'
representatives that the Croatian Government would have to respect
the agreement signed with the Slovene Government on moving the
refugees from the "Pineta". According to the agreement, the
refugees were supposed to be moved from the resort centre by seven
days after the end of this school year.
The exiled Croats from Central Bosnia should go from "Pineta"
to other facilities, already prepared for their accommodation such
as "Borozija" in Savudrija and the refugees' centres "Karlo Rojc"
and "Kamenjak" in Pula or on the island of Vis.
Minister Kostovic also said that the Croatian Government had
undertaken measures to carry out the movement of the refugees as
much painlessly and efficaciously as possibly.
After his visit to Novigrad Croatian Deputy Prime Minister
Dr. Ivica Kostovic left for Rabac this afternoon to hold a meeting
with the displaced persons mostly from Vukovar, now sheltered in
Hotel "Hedera". Their talks focused on possibilities to move the
displaced persons from Hotel "Hedera" to adequate accommodation in
Rovinj.
