MOSTAR, May 5 (Hina/HABENA) - The chairman of the presidential
council of the Croatian Republic of Herceg-Bosna (HR HB), Kresimir
Zubak, sent a letter today to the Prime Minister of the government
of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Haris Silajdzic, on difficulties that the
Vares subcommittee of the implementation of the Washington
agreements was facing in the cooperation between the Croatian
Defence Council (HVO) and the Army of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Zubak's letter says: "We have been informed by
representatives of the Vares municipal board that the subcommittee
has yielded no results so far," and the Croatian side thinks that
the Moslem-Bosniac representatives are obstructing the work of the
subcommittee.
The letter stresses that Moslem-Bosniac representatives did
not come to the first session of the subcommittee scheduled on 14
April 1994. At the session of 21 April the Moslem-Bosniac
delegation said that it had no mandate to make any decision,
whereas on 28 April two of them said that they considered the work
of the subcommittee unnecessary, and they did not intend to
participate in its following sessions.
