ZAGREB, May 4 (Hina) - An UNPROFOR convoy, which should bring
reinforcements to Gorazde, is still blocked by Bosnian Serb forces,
said an UNPROFOR representative in Zagreb on Wednesday afternoon.
According to our information, the convoy is still staying near
Rogatica (50 km E. of Sarajevo), said the representative adding
that Special Envoy of the UN Secretary General Yasushi Akashi met
Tuesday with representatives of Bosnian Serbs in order to get their
permission for the passage of the convoy.
Bosnian Serb forces halted the convoy on Sunday morning. The
convoy is carrying 140 members of the British Battalion who should
join 500 UNPROFOR soldiers deployed in Gorazde.
