BRUSSELS, May 3 (Hina) - Croatian Ambassador to countries of
Benelux Janko Vranycany-Dobrinovic delivered on Monday President
Tudjman's message to Belgian Deputy Prime and Foreign Minister
Willy Claes.
The message requests Belgium, as one of the countries-members
of the European troyka, for the European Union's support to the
development of Croatia. That support would contribute to the
process of democratization in Croatia and a resolution of the issue
on UNPAs.
Minister Claes and Ambassador Vranycany-Dobrinovic discussed
the implementation of the Washington agreement between Croats and
Bosniacs.
The Ambassador said that Croatia was interested in signing of
an agreement on economic and trade co-operation, on protection of
foreign investments and on taxation.
Ambassador Vranycany-Dobrinovic requested that Belgium should
suspend visas for Croatian citizens or make the process of getting
them easier.
He thanked Minister Claes for an assistance of the Belgian
soldiers in Rwanda in rescuing of Croatian missionaries there.
Willy Claes will be a member of the honorary committee for a
charity concert of Ivo Pogorelic, a famous Croatian pianist, which
is to be held in Brussels on 9 November 1994. The income from the
concert will be used for the reconstruction of Dubrovnik.
