ZAGREB, Apr 2 (Hina) -Croatian President Dr Franjo Tudjman on
Saturday sent an Easter message to "all Croats in Croatia and
abroad, all refugees, the wounded, and all those suffering and
bereft of their loved ones," wishing them "an Easter filled with
peace and reconciliation with their neighbours, spiritual renewal
and national togetherness."
"Last year many Croats, particularly those expelled and those
in occupied territories, and most of all those in war-stricken
Bosnia-Herzegovina, suffered the bloody Calvary of the Croatian
Good Friday. We did all we could to put an end to human suffering
and to achieve a just peace as a pledge for future life, and to
enable everyone to freely return and rebuild their homes, their
villages and towns, so that the evil of war, captivity and exile
should never happen again," the message said.
