ZADAR, Apr 2 (Hina) - Croatian Minister of Maritime Affairs,
Traffic and Communications Ivica Mudrinic on Saturday flew to the
Zemunik airport, thus opening it to civilian traffic.
The opening ceremony was attended by EU, UN monitors and
Prefect of Zadar County Sime Prtenjaca.
Upon landing at the airport, Minister Mudrinic said today's
flight inaugurated a shuttle service between Zagreb and Zadar,
marking the beginning of normalisation of life in the Zadar area.
He told reporters that regular flights between Zagreb, Zadar
and Split would be scheduled every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday,
beginning next Tuesday.
Minister Mudrinic added that the airport was shortly to be
reconstructed. The first stage would include the reconstruction of
navigation installations and the control tower.
Minister Mudrinic and Prefect Prtenjaca also visited Maslenica
and Pag bridges.
