ZAGREB, March 15 (Hina) - Croatian Helsinki Committee for Human
Rights (HHO) received recently a letter forwarded by the State
Attorney of the Republic of Croatia, Dr. Krunoslav Olujic, and in
the end of this week delegations of the State Attorney's Office and
the HHO will discuss issues of human rights and better mutual
cooperation, stated the HHO office Tuesday.
In his letter Dr. Olujic called the HHO to inform the legal
Croatian authorities of cases of violation of human rights in
Croatia in order that such problems could be solved before being
revealed abroad. In that context Dr. Olujic referred to a statement
of the HHO chairman Ivan Zvonimir Cicak that the HHO had a delicate
report on violation of human rights in Croatia which would be
forwarded to the Council of Europe.
In his letter Dr. Olujic emphasized that he, as the State
Attorney of the Republic of Croatia, was especially interested in
exercising of human rights promulgated by the Constitution and laws
of the Republic of Croatia.
