ZAGREB, Feb 17 (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman received
last night Italian senator Francesco Cossiga in a private and
unofficial visit.
The talks focused on the political situation in Croatia and on
events in Bosnia-Herzegovina. President Tudjman informed the guest
about the Croatian foreign policy's efforts made towards the
settlement of the Bosnian crisis by political negotiations, i.e. by
a peaceful way, for the benefit of all the three nations in Bosnia-
Herzegovina.
Supporting the political option which will lead to peace
through negotiations of the sides involved in the conflict, senator
Cossiga stressed that he would do everything to explain and present
Croatia's attitudes to Italian political circles and public.
Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic was also present at
yesterday's meeting.
