MACEDONIAN PREMIER ON GREEK EMBARGO

Autor:
SKOPJE, Feb 16 (Hina) - The Macedonian Prime Minister Branko Crvenkovski said on Wednesday evening that decision of Greek Government to impose an embargo on Macedonia and to close consulate in Skopje was "in contrary with U.N. Charter, CSCE documents and international law, particularly considering Macedonian flexibility and good will in solving open questions with Greece, as it was known to whole world". Crvenkovski stressed that "Macedonia managed to preserve peace becoming the factor of stability in the region". Macedonian Government thinks that Greek side becomes responsible for enormous damage that was caused to both countries as well as to bilateral relations and cooperation, said Crvenkovski. Skopje is still ready to continue the dialogue with Athens but Macedonian Government intend to take necessary action at international level, said Macedonian Prime Minister. 162112 MET feb 94
