ZAGREB, Feb 16 (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic met
for talks with the US president's special envoy Charles Redman on
Wednesday, said the foreign ministry in a statement.
Mr Redman informed Minister Granic about American views
concerning a possible settlement to the crisis in former
Yugoslavia, particularly in the light of recent decisions of the
western alliance. He presented American initiatives for the
permanent arrangement of Croatian-Moslem relations and for an end
to war in Bosnia-Herzegovina, also supported by leading European
Union states.
Minister Granic voiced Croatian support for NATO's resolution
to bring the Bosnian conflict to a stop as soon as possible. He
expressed hope that all the warring parties, and the Serb in
particular, would take in earnest the warnings of the world
community.
Mr Redman also spoke of importance the United States attached
to Croatia's role in solving the crisis in former Yugoslavia.
The US envoy was accompanied by the US Ambassador to Croatia,
Peter Galbraith.
