ZAGREB, Nov 16
(Hina) - Croatia's Prime Minister and leader of the
Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ), Jadranka Kosor, said in the prime
time news broadcast on Croatian Television on Wednesday evening that
the HDZ had not refused an election debate with the centre-left
opposition coalition led by the Social Democratic Party and that she
had proposed that all four representatives of the coalition
participate in the debate because they differed on issues that were
important for Croatia, such as the possible intervention of the IMF,
railway construction, the sale of the state-owned power company HEP,
the laying off of workers in the state administration, and the
introduction of new taxes.
