HEAVY FIGHTS IN SARAJEVO

SARAJEVO, Jan 6 (Hina) - Heavy fights that started this morning at district of Grbavica near the center of Sarajevo intensified since 8:30, reported France Presse. Same source says that frequent explosions of shells of great caliber were registered as well as constant small arms and machine gun fire. Shells directly hit many of buildings along the Miljacka River that marks front line between Government's and Serbian forces. Most of shells fall at the area controlled by Government's troops (Jewish Cemetery and the Old Town) and some explosions and small arms fire were registered in the area of Zuc hill on the north of the city. 061042 MET jan 94
