TOLISA, May 21 (Hina) - Serb aggressors launched strong artillery
attacks on defence lines in the Orasje-Samac area, north Bosnia,
which skirts a vital supply corridor linking Serbia proper with
Serb-occupied areas in Bosnia and Croatia.
Serb troops attempted to break through the Croatian Defence
Council (HVO) positions in the area at 07:15 am Sunday, local HVO
command reported today.
They opened a barrage of tank and artillery fire at the
residential areas and civilian targets as well this morning causing
huge material damage.
Shortly after 07:00 am the Serb forces from Obudovac and
Batkusa started tank-supported infantry attacks at the villages of
Ostra Luka and Bok. The fighting was still raging after 09:30 am,
the same sources reported.
The HVO units succeeded in repelling all assaults, inflicting
losses to the Serb aggressors in manpower and equipment.
Serb military vehicles only travelled along the so-called
corridor overnight when Serb transporting helicopters also were
spotted flying from occupied Brcko to Obudovac.
