ZAGREB, May 17 (Hina) - After a break during which parties' benches
discussed amendments to the final draft of the Labour Bill, the
Croatian Parliament's House of Representatives continued a session
by voting on the amendments, but without the opposition parties'
deputies.
The opposition parties' members left the session, because they
were not allowed by the Parliament Speaker Nedjeljko Mihanovic to
express their standpoints on the Labour Bill.
Before the voting only Mato Arlovic, a member of the Social-
Demarcation Party (SDP), could convey the views of his party's
bench.
Arlovic said that on the grounds of the amendments the
Government proposed after its negotiations with trade unions the
SDP deputies believed that the "result of those negotiations is
rather meagre."
Therefore the SDP members abode by their 120 amendments to the
Labour Bill.
