SARAJEVO, May 17 (Hina) - Following yesterday's Serb onslaught,
which killed four and wounded 16 people, Sarajevo saw a calm night
and morning. General alert was still in effect.
According to UN sources, about 1,000 detonations were
registered in Sarajevo yesterday. The Debelo Brdo area (on the feet
of Mt Trebevic, south of Sarajevo) bore the brunt of the attack, as
Serbs fought to seize a chunk of "no man's land".
One French and one Russian peace-keepers were slightly wounded
in yesterday's fighting.
UN military observers confirmed that Sarajevo's defence lines
were not moved despite heavy fighting.
