NOVA GRADISKA, May 8 (Hina) - A deputy of Croatian Justice
Minister, Miroslav Separovic, today met representatives of judicial
bodies at the municipal court in Nova Gradiska.
Separovic said he had toured district courts in Zagreb and
Bjelovar as well as the centre for checks in Bjelovar.
"Allegations that have been spread about inhuman conduct
toward the detained persons are untrue and malicious, since they
are treated very humanly," Separovic said.
"At the moment there are 123 persons in prisons in Croatia,
and they have been informed of their rights," Separovic said adding
that those persons maintained that they had done nothing. He
reiterated that those who had committed war crimes would be tried
at Croatian courts.
