LONDON, May 7 (Hina) - Croatia's President Franjo Tudjman and US
Undersecretary of State Richard Holbrooke held talks this morning
in London.
The talks focused on the issues how to continue peace process
and to stop the war tensions following the liberation of western
Slavonia.
President Tudjman said he and his interlocutor reached a high
degree of understanding, but problems remained in connection with
the United Nations and general circumstances still not entirely
defined as regards the UNCRO mandate in Croatia.
Holbrooke agreed with Tudjman on his assessment of the
situation and described their talks as good.
Afterwards President Tudjman went to St. Paul's Cathedral to
attend the service of reconciliation in honour of the 50th
anniversary of the end of WW II in Europe.
