ZAGREB, May 2 (Hina) - A meeting of a Croatian Government
delegation and Knin Serb representatives, scheduled for Tuesday
afternoon, was postponed because of security reasons, UN spokesman
Christopher Gunnes said in Zagreb this evening.
Serb representatives could not be transported safely to the UN
base at Zagreb Airport where the negotiations were to take place,
according to the UN spokesman.
The meeting was delayed for the time being, and UNCRO would
try to organize it as soon as possible, he added.
At the meeting, which should have been attended by UN
Secretary-General special envoy Yasushi Akashi, both sides were
expected to consider the "cessation of hostilities and ceasefire",
Gunnes said.
