SARAJEVO, April 10 (Hina) - The absence of flight security
guarantees has kept the Sarajevo airport closed further on, the UN
Protection Force Sarajevo H.Q. confirmed today.
UN spokesman Maj. Herve Gourmelon said the UN officials had
continued to negotiate with Bosnian Serbs to prevent new attacks at
the UN-labeled aircraft. According to Gourmelon, Serbs have been
avoiding to guarantee the air-lift security "under various
excuses".
This morning they declared inability to "guarantee the
security to the passengers not belonging to their side".
The Sarajevo airport was closed on Saturday, after a US
"Hercules" with humanitarian aid cargo had been hit with ten small-
arms bullets.
