ZAGREB, Apr 4 (Hina) - Today's VJESNIK carries a comment piece by
Zvonimir Baletic, headlined "The Great Serbia Myth Is Falling
Apart" and focused on the new UN Security Council resolution on
Croatia.
A comment piece by Ivkica Bacic, headlined "Milosevic Ready to
Trade" discusses Serbia's plans and options after Resolution 981.
Resolution 981 is also the topic of Maja Freundlich's comment
piece, which says, in part:
"The Croatian army has become an important stake in
negotiations...Our strengthened army has disturbed many. It has
become a threat and a strong political argument. In future
negotiations, if a satisfactory solution is not in sight, Croatia
will be able to take a military shortcut. Others are even more
aware of this threat than we are."
Today's VECERNJI LIST carries an interview with Juliet
Stubican of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development,
headlined "We Encourage the Private Sector."
"Our bank considers that Croatia is a good investment target
and a country that can do much to attract foreign investors,"
Stubican says.
