ZAGREB, March 14 (Hina) - Croatian Parliament House of
Representatives today adopted the act on transferring ownership and
founding rights on the National Library in Zagreb to the Republic
of Croatia.
The act envisages that the National Library is to be owned by
the Republic of Croatia after being in the ownership of the Zagreb
University. The National Library with its assets is to become a
public institution owned by the Republic of Croatia which is also
its founder.
When the National Library has been moved to the new premises,
now being constructed, the current premises at Marulic Square will
be used by the Croatian State Archives. The Archives will be
allowed to use those premises as long as its permanent building is
not constructed.
The House of Representatives today also adopted the act on
market inspection and the act on quality control of exports and
imports.
