PULA, Feb 28 (Hina) - The Russian ambassador Leonid
Kerestedzhiyants and his collaborators today traveled to the Istria
county for a two-day visit.
The stopped off in Pula where they had a look at the 'Uljanik'
shipyard and then they talked to the shipyard directors about the
delay in building boats for Russian customers.
Russia and Croatia have signed a deal for Croatia to build ten
ships for Russia. Three of them are being built at 'Uljanika'.
Talks today looked at establishing new deadlines for the ship
construction deal.
The Russians were also to visit the Pula-based 'Tehnomont'
holding company which has been collaborating with Russian partners
for many years.
Tomorrow, the Russian ambassador is to lecture Istrian
businessmen on 'How to do business with Russians.' Fresh after the
lecture the Russians will pay the Pula firm, 'Bojoplast' a visit.
