ZAGREB, Feb 9 (Hina) - The Croatian government today held a
session at the Presidential Palace chaired by President Franjo
Tudjman, a Presidential Office statement said.
The meeting focused on the implementation of government
policies regarding the economy, the demographic revival, the
establishment of a Ministry for Returnees, the problem of
displaced persons, social welfare, the armed forces,
international activities, a confederation with the Moslem-Croat
federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina, and the judiciary.
Also discussed were territorial changes of administrative
units, the fight against drugs, the protection of youth, the
enactment of new laws, the committee for marking the fifth
anniversary of Croatian statehood, the celebration of the 50th
anniversary of the victory of the Antifascist Coalition, Croatian
victims in World War Two, the information service and the
implementation of government policy.
The government passed decisions on all of the above
mentioned issues, the statement concluded.
