ZAGREB, Feb 8 (Hina) - The Croatian Parliament House of
Representatives today resumed a session which began on January 25.
At the beginning, the House passed a decision to establish a
committee for the peaceful reintergration of occupied Croatian
areas.
Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) deputy Drago Krpina was
elected chairman of the committee while Mirko Tankosic of the
Croatian National Party (HNS) and Miroslav Kis, representing
minorities, were elected deputy chairmen.
The House adopted a report on findings of the commission
investigating victims killed in World War Two and the post-war
period.
Also adopted was a report on the 1994 tourist season and a
plan for the tourist year 1995.
Lower house deputies adopted a report on the work of the
Croatian Television and Radio Council from July 1993 to July 1994.
They called for the introduction of weekly programs on Croatian
patriotic war invalids and victims, and asked that more attention
be paid to programs for ethnic communities in their native
languages.
The House elected Jagoda Zelic-Rukavina to replace Kresimir
Aleric as deputy public prosecutor.
Deputies supported a decision to set up a commission that
would work out an ethical codex for officials.
The session ended this evening after adopting reports on
government decrees passed after December 20 last year.
House speaker Nedjeljko Mihanovic called the next session for
the end of this month.
