MOSTAR, Feb 7 (Hina/HABENA) - EU Mostar Administrator, Hans
Koschnik, today rejected reports by a Moslem radio station, based
in eastern Mostar, which had claimed to quote him in their
broadcast yesterday.
Moslem radio quoted Koschnik as saying "western Mostar
represents a big problem for all friends of Croatia", at a session
of the city's consultative committee.
Koschnik said that neither such statement nor similar
discussion was heard at yesterday's session.
"Please, ask all participants in the session about that,"
Koschnik said.
"Such allegations serve as a poison at a time when it is
important to undertake measures aimed at developing trust among
people and creating an united town for all Mostar citizens,"
Koschnik's statement, carried by the HABENA Herzeg-Bosnian agency,
said today.
Koschnik also asked that journalists check that they quoted
him accurately - and check with him if they themselves had not
heard correctly.
