THE HAGUE, Feb 1 (Hina) - The International Criminal Tribunal for
the former Yugoslavia today said in a statment it had completed
everything it was called upon to do in order to fulfil its mission.
But it said it was concerned about "the urgency with which
appropriate indictmnets should be issued."
The Tribunal stressed the UN Security Council had entrusted it
with "a historic mission of bringing to trial those responsible for
'mass killings', 'organized and systematic detention and rape of
women', and 'the practice of ethnic cleansing in the territory of
the former Yugoslavia' in order thereby to contribute to the
restoration and maintainance of peace."
