USORA, Jan 26 (Hina/HABENA) - The Croatian Defence Council (HVO) of
Usora, the Croatian enclave 110 kilometres north of Sarajevo, this
morning said that the Moslem police from nearby Tesanj had
completely blocked the Jelah-Tesanjka road on Wednesday, 25
January. The road connects the Usora enclave with central Bosnia.
The HVO statement said special forces of the Tesanj Moslem
police had blocked the right bank of the Usora river and were
controlling all people and vehicles.
The head of the Usora Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) party,
Josip Kurevija, was arrested and beaten up last night.
The commander of the Vitez HVO district, Brigadier Filip
Filipovic requested an urgent session with the commander of the
Bosnian Army's 3rd Corps, situated in Zenica, in order to solve the
present problems and prevent further incidents.
No clashes had occurred between the HVO and Bosnian Army in
Usora during the Moslem-Croat conflict in Bosnia.
