ZAGREB, Jan 26 (Hina) - The House of Representatives today
appointed Zarko Domljan (HDZ - Croatian Democratic Union)
to lead a parliamentary delegation to the Council of Europe
Parliamentary Assembly.
The delgation includes Katica Ivanisevic (HDZ), Ivo Skrabalo
(Croatian Social Liberal Party), Snjezana Biga-Friganovic (Social-
Democratic Party) and independent Member Jakob Eltz Vukovarski.
Veselin Pejnovic (Serbian National Party) opened the debate on
Minister Granic's report (submitted yesterday) by criticising the
decision to end the UNPROFOR mandate.
He announced that SNS members would disclose some mysterious
"secret diplomacy documents" at a press conference tomorrow.
Goran Granic (Croatian Social Liberal Party) said it was
humiliating for Croatia to seek Serbia's recognition.
"Croatia is an internationally recognised state and it is not
fitting that its diplomats should keep insisting on Belgrade's
recognition," Granic said.
The debate is still in full swing.
The House of Counties, which is also in session this week,
heard a report of the Commitee on War and Post-War victims.
