ZAGREB, Jan 10 (Hina) - Today's VJESNIK leads with an article on
the current visit by a Croatian government delegation to China,
headlined "Two Agreements Signed."
In its coverage of talks between Croatian President Franjo
Tudjman and Bosnian Federation President Kresimir Zubak and his
deputy Ejup Ganic, Vjesnik says that they discussed concrete issues
relative to the establishment of the Moslem-Croat federation in
Bosnia and its future confederation with Croatia.
Zubak told Vjesnik that the implementation of the Federation
Constitution was delayed as a result of different interpretations
of the Constitution and different views of the pace at which the
federation was to be established.
The other Zagreb-based daily, VECERNJI LIST, carries an
article on the current visist of an International Monetary Fund
mission, under the headline "IMF Begins First Audit."
"A Decision Hard to Make" is the headline of a comment piece
on the extension of UNPROFOR's mandate, which is soon to be
discussed by Parliament.
Vecernji List includes the results of its poll "UNPROFOR - Yes
or No?". As many as 59.5 of the respondents said they were against
extending the UN mandate while 46.5 percent expected Croatian
authority to be restored in occupied territories in 1995.
