SARAJEVO, Jan 4 (Hina) - Hungarian Foreign Minister and OSCE
(Organisation on Security and Cooperation in Europe) Chairman
Laszlo Kovacs appointed Supreme Court Judge Vera Jovanovic,
Assistant Minister of Justice Esad Muhidinovic and Bugojno County
Court Judge Branka Raguz as ombudsmen of the Federation of Bosnia-
Herzegovina, CSCE's Sarajevo office said yesterday.
Under the Federal Constitution, three ombudsmen (one Croat,
one Moslem and one member of a minority group) are appointed by the
OSCE for a three-year term of office.
In their capacity as human rights watchers, they have access
to all official documents, including classified ones.
The ombudsmen are to submit an annual report to the Federal
Parliament, the Prime Minister and his deputy, canton prefects and
the CSCE.
