ZAGREB, Dec 30 (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic on
Monday received the president of the South Korean corporation
Daewood Group, W. C. Kim, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
Granic informed the guest about the current political and
economic situation in the country, with emphasis on the process of
peaceful reintegration of the eastern Danube river region, the
holding of local elections and the successful completion of the
UNTAES mandate.
In the coming period, Croatia would concentrate more on its
economic development, Granic said, adding that there was firm
political support for foreign investment in the country, in which
South Korea occupied a prominent position.
Recalling his recent visit to South Korea and talks with
business people there, Granic said that Croatia and South Korea had
great opportunities for a speedy and successful development of
economic relations in mutual interest.
Kim showed great interest in investing in the tourist and
automobile industries, expressing a hope that Croatia would
continue to successfully develop and restructure its economy.
