ZAGREB, Nov 30 (Hina) - Slobodan Prosperov Novak was re-elected as
the president of the Croatian PEN centre after the Croatian PEN
assembly held a seven-hour-long session in Zagreb on Saturday.
Out of 170 Croatian PEN centre members, 83 members who
attended the assembly, participated in the voting.
Other two candidates for the president were Ivan Kusan and
Tomislav Ladan.
Zeljka Corak and Tonko Maroevic were re-elected as vice
presidents.
Expressing his gratitude to the assembly Slobodan Prosperov
Novak said that the Croatian PEN centre would enter the Internet.
He announced a project called 'Atlas of Croatian Literature'.
Speaking about the international PEN, Prosperov Novak said the
Croatian PEN centre, along with other several national centres,
would reform the PEN programmes, and added that Japanese PEN centre
would coordinate changes.
He especially thanked his associates for cooperation in the
past six years.
He also warned that inappropriate words could be heard during
Saturday's assembly and he wished that such situations would not be
repeated in the future.
