MOSTAR, Nov 30 (Hina) - A total of 17 persons were being treated
for AIDS, of which 11 persons had died so far in the Federation of
Bosnia-Herzegovina, president of the Bosnian Federation Commission
for the Prevention and Control of AIDS, Dr. Zlatko Puvacic told a
forum organized in Mostar on occasion of 1 December, the World AIDS
Day.
Puvacic added that 136 persons are estimated to have been
infected by the HIV virus, but had not yet been diagnostically
identified.
The estimate was based on a criterion according to which 8
unidentified cases were linked to every person diagnosed with AIDS.
