ZAGREB, 29 (Hina) - Croatia's Justice Minister Miroslav Separovic
on Friday held a meeting with presidents of military courts and
military prosecutors. The meeting focused on a Parliament decision,
which is to go into effect soon and which annuls war regulations on
the work of military courts.
Separovic recalled that military courts and military
prosecutors' offices had been established in line with regulations
with legal force, which had been made by the President of the
Republic of Croatia, in times Croatia's independence and unity were
jeopardized and exposed to most severe attacks.
Their purpose was to provide quicker and more effective
protection of the highest values of the Croatian constitutional
order, independence, unity, sovereignty and legal order, Separovic
said.
He stressed that military courts and military prosecutors'
offices did their job honorably and conscientiously even in
difficult conditions. He thanked all judges, prosecutors and
officials in bodies of military judiciary.
