PULA, Nov 28 (Hina) - Croatia's Ambassador to the UNESCO, Vesna
Girardi-Jurkic, on Thursday opened the second three-day
International Archeological Symposium.
The Symposium, organized by Zagreb University's Medulin-
Brijuni archeological research centre, is being attended by some 30
archeologists from England, Spain, France, Italy, Slovenia and
Croatia.
The Pula gathering is being held under the sponsorship of the
UNESCO director Federico Mayor, and it has received financial
assistance from the Croatian Ministries of Science and Culture,
Istrian County, the County's chamber of commerce and the Pazin-
based 'Kamen' company.
