ZAGREB, Nov 27 (Hina) - The Croatian Independent Unions' Association (SSSH) was on Wednesday admitted as full member to the International Confederation of Free Trade Unions (ICFTU), the largest international unions' association which
gathers 125 million members from 134 countries all over the world, a statement from the SSSH said.

With a unanimous decision reached by the ICFTU Executive Board
at Tuesday's session in Brussels, SSSH had become the first union
centre from Croatia to be admitted into an international unions'
association, the statement said.
ICFTU is the most powerful world association of employees
which cooperates with all international organizations, especially
with the International Labour Organization, International Monetary
Fund and the World Bank.
In his letter to President Tudjman last month, ICFTU
Secretary-General Bill Jordan had announced the possibility of
admitting SSSH as a full member to this organization, the statement
said.
