U.S. AMBASSADOR GALBRAITH ON U.S.-CROATIAN RELATIONS

ZAGREB, Nov 20 (Hina) - US ambassador to Croatia Peter Galbraith held a forum in Zagreb on Wednesday on "Croatian-American Relations Today and Tomorrow." With its geographical position, economy and history, Croatia is part of the Western community of nations, but whether it will manage to join Western integration processes depends on it and its decisions, Galbraith said. My country and I wish Croatia to be one of the partners in the new Atlantic community of countries which think similarly. Croatia belongs to the united and democratic Europe. We will fight for that goal but whether it will be achieved does not depend on us. It depends on you, Galbraith said. Attending were, among others, members of the diplomatic corps in Zagreb, including the ambassadors of Russia, Ukraine and Tunisia. (hina) vm 202301 MET nov 96
