SIBENIK, Nov 17 (Hina) - More than 90,000 tourists have visited so
far Croatia's "Krka" National Park (the Sibenik hinterland) in the
first post-war tourism season, or one quarter of the total of
visitors in the record 1989 year.
"Our expectations have been met," the Krka administration's
director Gorana Deljac Stipancev said on Sunday, adding that final
results could have been better, had the weather been more
favourable.
A new ship transporting tourists from Skradin to Skradinski
Cascade played an important role in boosting tourism services, she
said.
As of this year the National Park will open after the tourism
season ends, because the interest of tourists does not abate during
the winter, according to her.
